The futuristically designed Laverda M series was introduced in 2003. Its
the model selection corresponded to the four largest models of the previous collection. M
303 had an Iveco Common Rail engine, the others had pump nozzles
equipped Caterpillar machines.
The cutting table had an automatic 8-degree lateral tilt. Familiar Laverda
were the drum now named PFR (Prepare and Feeding Roller) the feed screw and
between the log conveyor and the MCS (Multi Crop Separator), i.e. the threshing reel,
which was also now standard on all models. The stalk bridge of the afterthreshing reel
was able to electronically transfer out of use. The grain bins were appreciable
larger than before (82-90 hl).
The cockpit had also strongly experienced the designer's handprint. Only
the multifunction handle was the same as before. The largest model had
straw spreader as standard equipment. The 304 and 306 also had four-wheel drive
LS side-by-side models, where the threshing machine stayed straight across the terrain
when tilting both in width (20%) and lengthwise (+/-8%). LS Integrale
- model still had a stern lift, which enabled the machinery to be horizontal
30% uphill.
The collection was also sold as MF Beta series and Fendt C series Agcon
concluded a contract for the manufacture of its "small" combine harvesters Laverdan
at the factory.
In the renewed Special Power collection of 2007, Caterpillar machines
replaced with Sisu Diesels. Electronic GSAX system adjusted
cutting table height. The threshing reel was now labeled MCS Plus, when
was installed between the threshing reels in the smaller Laverdas
a REV module used instead of a threshing coil, i.e. a kind of one
fluffing reel.
