History 1990: AGCO is formed through the purchase of Deutz-Allis from KHD and begins manufacturing and distributing agricultural equipment under the AGCO® Allis and Gleaner® brands in North America. 1991: AGCO acquires Hesston Corporation, a leading North American brand of hay implements, as well as the tractor business from Allied Products. 1993: AGCO buys the business as well as the Coldwater, Ohio manufacturing facility. The company also acquired the rights to distribute products to North American Massey Ferguson, expanding AGCO's dealer network by more than 1,000 dealers. 1994: The company purchases Massey Ferguson's global holdings, securing AGCO's global status. Also this year, the Agricredit Corporation buys the assets of the McConnell Tractors tractor manufacturing company, leading to the development of the AGCOSTAR® tractor line. 1995: AGCO acquired the assets of Tye Company, manufacturers and marketers of Glencoe®, Tye® and Farmhand® agricultural tools and tillage equipment.
