Spare parts for PERKINS diesel engines
A crankshaft is a part (or assembly of parts in the case of a composite shaft) of a complex shape, which has necks for attaching connecting rods, from which the crankshaft receives forces and converts them into torque and then transmits them to the transmission mechanisms through the flywheel.
Structure of the crankshaft:
The main neck is a shaft support that rests in the main bearing located in the engine crankcase.
The connecting rod neck is a support by means of which the shaft is connected to the connecting rods (there are oil channels for lubricating the connecting rod bearings).
Cheeks - connect the root and connecting rod necks.
The front output part of the shaft is the part of the shaft on which the gear wheel or the power take-off pulley is attached to drive the gas distribution mechanism (GRM) and various auxiliary units, systems and units.
The rear output part of the shaft is the part of the shaft that connects to the flywheel or the massive gear of the selection of the main part of the power.
Counterweights - provide unloading of the main bearings from the centrifugal forces of inertia of the first order and unbalanced masses of the crank and lower
