Purpose of the oil filter:
The oil filter is designed to remove harmful particles from the engine oil as a result of the wear of the friction surfaces, as well as due to the ingress of solid fuel combustion products in the internal combustion engine (ICE).
Oil filter structure:
The oil filter consists of a metal casing, a filter element and two valves: an overflow (sometimes referred to as safety or bypass) and reverse (anti-drainage) valves.
