The JCB roller is the element of the running gear of the special machinery with which the machine rests on the work surface, however, the machine does not come in direct contact with the work surface through the track roller, but by means of a caterpillar.

The JCB is designed for the following functions:

Support the machine on the working surface (in conjunction with the caterpillar tape)
preservation of the correct direction of movement of the lower part of the caterpillar;
softening impacts against the surface while driving;
minimizing lateral swaying of the track;
transfer of weight of special equipment to the working surface.
